The walk takes place in communities across Alberta and the Northwest Territories\, including Edmonton and Red Deer. \nThis family-friendly event raises vital funds and awareness. It supports over 62\,000 Albertans living with dementia and their care partners. Proceeds fund essential local programs\, such as counselling and support groups. Every step preserves memories and brings us closer to a dementia-free future. Nationally\, the walk has raised over $50 million since 2015. \nIf you are joining us in Edmonton at Sir Wilfrid Laurier Park\, registration begins at 9:00 a.m. The walk starts at 10:30 a.m.\, followed by a BBQ. \nRegister as an individual or team captain on the Alzheimer Society website. You can create a fundraising page and invite your network to donate. Every dollar stays local.
