Introduction

Healthy eating can reduce the risk of heart disease, stroke and diabetes. But did you know that these conditions also increase your risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease?

Healthy food choices not only improve your general health, in the long-term nutritious food helps maintain brain function and slows memory decline.

Learning Objectives

When you have completed this session, you will be able to:

  • Describe the benefits of healthy eating in reducing risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and maintaining quality of life when you have Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Identify healthy food choices to reduce risk of developing Alzheimer’s disease and maintaining quality of life when you have Alzheimer’s disease.
  • Identify strategies to make healthier food choices a part of your daily routine.
